That's right, folks! Iran's own has launched a blog. His first entry reportedly clocks in at almost 2,000 words (available in Farsi, Arabic, English and French). Ahmadinejad says he will use the blog to tell the world about his childhood in Iran, as well as his experiences during the Iranian Revolution and the Iran-Iraq War. Maybe we'll finally find out whether he was one of the students who participated in the taking of the American Embassy in 1979. The blog has a forum in which questions can be submitted.
This seems to be the next step in the creation of a warmer, fuzzier image for the Iranian president; last Sunday he appeared for a one-on-one interview on Sixty Minutes dressed in a shirt with a collar. (It's only one short step to a tie, friends, and there goes the Islamic Republic...) Mike Wallace, who came out of retirement to do the interview, described Ahmadinejad--or Mahmoud, as we may now call him--as intelligent, good-looking and possessing a sense of humor. He came under fire for his remarks, but has not retracted them.
I eagerly await Muamar Qaddafi's Friendster page.

Holy cow....
Here is the url for the english site:

My God, you can get an e-mail account with his site.
Frankly, I'm waiting for Idi Amin to start connecting with John Edward and sell it all on Ebay.
The link above, Ahmadinejad's Blog (above tje BBC Article link) is not working.
Speaking of neckties, I once asked an Hasidic Jew, out of curiousity, why they never wear neckties. He explained that it simply because, in 17th century Poland, where their movement began, the necktie was unknown, and they simply imitate the dress and grooming and lifestyle of that historical period. (Remind you of any other religious group?)
That wasn't it. I cannot find the blog itself.
The link should be working now...
"Sexing up" the muslim image.
Yes. Well, here is the Hezbollah Dating Service which is in poor taste but is not in very poor taste. Funny, even if you are a muslim (unless you are super sensitive, in which case, don't watch)

Absolutely hysterical, requires embedding!
Not at all funny from everyone's friend Ahmadinejad: A Holocaust Cartoon Contest and Fair. One almost hopes they develop real nuclear weapons so they won't feel the need to continue to lob these. These cartoons are nuclear weapons of their own sort. Maybe it gives them power, maybe it harms their enemy, but it so dirties the environment that no one can carry on afterwards. If they had the real thing, maybe they'd just wag it everyone's face like everyone else does with their own.
