Join us as we call upon God to transform our hearts into conduits for Divine Beauty and Justice, and affirm the dignity of the children of Adam by remembering God throughout the night. Mmm, hope there's bacon. Cos, you know, if we refused to allow pork at an Islamic function, that would just mean that we're hateful bigots against those who eat pork, and there were Muslim sects who ate Pork 700 years ago, so it can't be haraam anyway. I'd say it's haraam to eat pig, but that would automatically dehumanize pig-eaters, so I won't. If anyone challenges me on this, they can read some of my favorite authors first (Norman Mailer is a good start).
I also wanted to find some Hot muslima and bang her in the coatroom while her husband eats bacon. Don't try to dehumanize me by telling me it would be unislamic!
Fun note; Rumi was actually quite orthodox. But it's more fun for "goofy sufis" to say he was just Jack Kerouac in a Thobe.

One slight difference: I've known Watch Night to extend through the night into morning, while the author has it ending at midnight.
