As Gandhi would have put it...

I apologise for the hit-and-run post, and though I have great respect for the man, I am not a Gandhian. But following everything over the weekend, I am left with a thought this morning that channels Gandhi; A War on Terror would be a great idea--if either the West or Muslims choose to take up the idea.

I don't get it. Are you talking about a non-violent War on Terror?

No, I am saying that everyone's supporting their favorite terrorists and only condemning those they find inconvenient. If everyone sincerely worked against it, that would be nice. See also:

Why do Pakistanis reject Gandhi?

If it wasn't for his Quit India campaign of civil disobedience, the Indian Muslim commonwealth would have never been formed.

And to think that Shia, many who felt their social clout in a democratic Hindu republic would have been undermined, helped formed Pakistan, only to now find themselves subject to persecution from Desis who are wannabe "Arab Salafis."

Just the thoughts from an anti-Pakistan Shia Afghan-Iranian.
