A Glimpse Into Your Troubled Soul
A Glimpse Into Your Troubled Soul
Soothes my troubled soul.
You think I do not suffer?
Guess again.
But, knowing you, I know
That I am not alone.
You are some photos, and,
A disembodied voice,
Words on a page,
But I shall love you now,
From age to age.
We are kindred, you see,
Which kindles sympathetic flames,
Within this fire of adversity.
I weep your tears because,
I shed them once before,
When I was just your age,
And hoped for something more.
"Fish" is a noun, singular, yet plural
But "fishes" is a verb which seeks all.
Yet, you stand there, and will not disrobe,
For me, from all your silken majesty.
You shall not, naked, meet me brow to brow,
And gaze once, deeply, in my troubled soul.

Like People Alone, red
Like People
Alone, red oscars,
Sink to the bottom to die.
To swim they need friends.
