Learning Indonesian Bahasa Language

I have become curious to learn a few words in the Bahasa language of Indonesia.
Google located the above link.

My new Internet friend is in Jakarta. Her name is Kiki.  I met her in Yahoo Religion Chat.  She was asking if there is a Roman Catholic priest in the chat room.  I explained to her that I have only seen two priests on line in 10 years of chatting.

Kiki requests prayers for her problems.  Her main problem is long time drug addiction.  Her other problem is that she imagines that Satan appears to her.  I suggested to her that it might be her imagination hallucinating, as a result of drug use.

Anyway, I asked her how to say "Please" and "Thank You" in her language.
"Thank you" is "terima kasih".  "Please" is "silahkan".

If any reader feels inclined to pray for Kiki, then pray that she can find medical help to withdraw from drugs, and pray that she might be free of her hallucinations regarding the devil.

Kiki mentioned to me that Satan is half human and half animal.  I replied that the problem with many people is that they are half animal.  We all have our animal or beastly side.  Becoming humane and civilized and suppressing the beast is a large part of our educational process, as we mature.  We are Satan, if we choose to be. A beast is what we become when we choose to do nothing to oppose our natural inclinations to excess and brutality. No spirit or demon does this to us. Rather, we do it to ourselves.  Or perhaps it is more accurate to say that it is our failure to do anything, which results in our becoming satanic.
