You should check out News21 (www.newsinitiative.org), part of the Carnegie-Knight Initiative on the Future of Journalism Education. Five of the nation’s top schools, including Columbia, Berkley, Northwestern, Harvard and USC, are participating.  The project, entitled "Faces of Faith in America," includes in-depth reporting, video, audio, applications and database analysis. The fellows are using new technologies to show that the journalism schools can play an important role in the digital transformation of the U.S.

The whole series of interviews, with various notables, seems to be available in transcript form, as well as streaming video.

As I read the transcript, I am shocked by the frequency with which Salm Rushdie says "you know." Perhaps he is nervous on camera.
