Guantanamo prisoners may be given their human rights back

After years of denial, it looks like the Bush administration has been shown the light. The US Supreme Court's recent ruling that the president alone can't remove prisoners' rights to a fair trial without Congressional approval undoubtedly has something to do with it.

Coincidentally (don't you just love the Guardian?) the ex-chief-spy of British MI6 has also just been reported criticising Guantanamo and "rendition" of prisoners to countries willing to outsource torture. This one's worth quoting:
